As logging conditions change, we need to finely adjust the carburetor. As a chain saw operator, the carburetor adjustment method is naturally a skill that must be learned and mastered. Next, we focus on the chain saw carburetor, from the structure and function to introduce its adjustment method.

First, adjust the screw position

Close to the chain saw, there are three holes near the starting handle on the side of the chain saw starting assembly. There are three letters T, L and H next to the hole, respectively representing idle speed adjustment screw T, low speed adjustment screw L and high speed adjustment screw H. If you remove the carburetor, you can see three screws on the side of the carburetor.

Second, carburetor adjustment method

Carburetor adjustment standards: L, T, H with three adjustment screw adjustment, the chain saw has a stable idle speed, acceleration can be a smooth transition, and get the maximum power.

The following is the actual carburetor adjustment method

1, turn off the chain saw engine, carburetor adjustment screwdriver, the high-speed adjustment screw H and low-speed adjustment screw L, respectively, clockwise to move so far. It should be noted that the carburetor is a precision component, the screw must not be turned over.

Then turn counterclockwise H screw circle, turn counterclockwise L screw half circle.

2, start chain saw engine, pull the trigger to open the throttle to about half position, make it warm.

3, in idle state, adjust the low-speed adjustment screw L.

When the chain saw is idling, the concentration of the mixed gas is controlled by the L screw, which turns clockwise to decrease (speed increases) and counterclockwise to increase (speed decreases).

Therefore, turn the L screw clockwise slowly to find the position with the highest idle speed and then turn the needle counterclockwise a quarter of a turn. This adjustment, both to ensure that the chain saw idle speed, but also to ensure that the concentration of gas into the cylinder.

4, low-speed adjustment screw L is adjusted, then adjust the idle speed adjustment screw T, clockwise rotation speed increases, counterclockwise rotation speed decreases. We need to adjust the chain saw to a stable minimum speed while keeping the saw chain non-rotating.

5, high-speed adjustment screw H adjustment

High-speed adjustment screw H, the engine at high speed and high load operation, the concentration of the mixed gas is mainly controlled by it. High-speed work, if the concentration of the mixture is lean, the engine speed increases rapidly, the exhaust sound crisp, the engine torque is small; if the mixture is too thick, the engine speed slow down, do not go at high speed, exhaust sound dull, take smoke.

Adjustment criteria: sudden increase in the engine when the throttle, do not turn off, can get a smooth and stable transition; sawing test, so that the chain saw according to the maximum amount of shear, rather than the highest speed.
